Well who’d have thought it, our little old shop won the best independent fashion store in the recent Telegraph shop awards.    We even got to meet Mary Portas, though i dont think she had a clue who we were.

Anyway, we’re all chuffed to bits so a big thanks to all of you who voted for us.   The only unfortunate thing is that they put our ugly mugs in the magazine on saturday.

Our lila in peacocks make an appearance in Grazia.   Please ignore the “pig to clean” comment – a bit of scotchguard will keep these nice and clean for as long as you look after them.

Folk in Denmark – Goods

We always welcome a visit from one of the stores that stock Folk and Shofolk abroad and last weekend we had the pleasure of Kasper, founder and owner of Goods in Copenhagen.

Kasper opened Goods in August ‘08 and it has become one of the most interesting destination mens boutiques in Denmark.   Situated in the eastern part of Copenhagen called Østerbro, GOODS is a pleasantly small store stocking brands that are rarely see in Copenhagen and Kasper has created a cosy and friendly atmosphere in and around the shop.

The interior is a mix of a few specially made objects and some great flea market finds, such as old gym equipment, 50´s wooden palisander shelves, chairs and table all combined by small nicknacks such as ww 2 desert combat glasses, vintage bicycle repair books (which they sell) and much more.

Kasper says he likes to work with smaller companies, whom are experts in developing and refining their clothing each season and we’re delighted that he sees us in that category and chooses to stock Folk and Shofolk alongside a small number of others such as Garbstore, Acne, Norse Projects and the kings of underwear, Scheisser.

So if you are in Copenhagen please pop by to say hello.
