We have just updated the site with a new batch of The Hill-Side ties, handkerchiefs and scarves. Particular highlights are the tie in wax canvas and chino fabrics, and the chambray scarves. The Hill-Side was founded in Brookyln, New York by brothers Emil and Sandy Corsillo and the ever reliable Secret Forts have a great interview with them here

We’ve got a good friend called Emil who’s helped us with our lookbooks for the last few seasons, Emil and his brother Sandy have set up a little brand for themselves, the Hill-side, which is an interesting collection of ties and handkerchiefs made in Brooklyn, New York.

The Hill-Side takes a tough, working man’s approach to neckwear using fabrics not commonly found in neckwear: selvedge chambray, hemp/cotton blend denim, left-hand twill, and waxed canvas. The majority of the fabric is sourced from denim country in Kojima, Japan and each piece is hand made at a small factory in Manhattan. Complementing the neckties is a selection of handkerchiefs that all gentlefolk should have in their top pocket.
