Our collections are approachable. The name, Folk, implies something democratic, for everyone. We make for customers who have confidence in themselves, who enjoy clothes, appreciate design & embrace life.
Born London in 2000 Folk was started by Cathal McAteer, a restless creative and tireless wanderer, with an ambition to create a relevant and charismatic clothing brand which makes cult classics rather than pop hits.
Twenty four years on and still proudly independent, Folk has won a place in the hearts of many with a loyal fan base including musicians, artists, chefs, actors - people well known, but many folk less so. We constantly evolve, forging new relationships in the collaborations we make, in the stores that we open, but this spirit of trust between us and our customers is the lifeblood of our brand.

Collaborations
We collaborate with artists, musicians, writers and a host of like minded souls to enrich our offer and create bi annual collections which provide a left field injection to our seasonal ranges.

Every season sees greater efforts toward our sustainable production ambition. Including use of organic cottons, recycled polyesters, natural trims & upcycled fabrics. Our customers tell us that they wear our clothes for many many years ensuring a long lifespan of our garments.
